Depending on your budget and purpose.
For Compact, it's easy to use and carry out.
I think there are a lot of fun functions.
For DSLR, it will have extra costs, eg., lenses, memory card, filter, bag, etc.
But you will get more function that compact can't (depth, higher ISO, etc.)
(But now I am too lazy to carry big camera - -*)
